Visiting recruiters conduct information sessions about opportunities within their
companies/organizations as well as interviews for entry-level employment. To
participate in on-campus interviews, you must register for FutureLink as well as complete
the Profile section and upload a resume in FutureLink.
Tips to Maximize a Successful Recruiting Experience
- Apply only to employers in which you are sincerely interested
- Appear for all scheduled interviews at least 10 minutes in advance of the start time
- Meet all associated deadlines: deadline to submit your application, deadline to sign up for an interview
- Many companies offer information sessions prior to their on-campus interview days. If you are scheduled for an interview, or on the wait list for the schedule, you are strongly encouraged to attend the information session. These sessions enable the recruiters to provide more information than can be covered during the interview; therefore, you’ll be in a better place to evaluate if you want to work for that employer should you be offered a position. Additionally, attending the session will demonstrate that you are interested in that particular organization.
- By keeping your FutureLink profile up to date, including any changes to e-mail addresses, you will be able to receive important information disseminated by the Arts and Sciences Career Services Office. It is very important to delete excess messages from your Ohio State e-mail account throughout the academic quarters and during school breaks to ensure that you receive announcements from the office as well as employers.
- When an offer has been accepted, please contact other organizations that may be considering you for employment and cease all interviews. Additionally, please notify the Career Services Office so that we can deactivate your status as an active "job seeker."
