We are thrilled to announce that our colleague, Maddie Kindig, has been appointed as assistant director of Graduate Student Professional Success. Maddie brings valuable experience from her time as an arts and sciences graduate student and is eager to empower current graduate students and postdocs. She aims to help them leverage their skills to explore career opportunities beyond the tenure track. "Graduate students and postdocs possess remarkable, transferrable skills that are highly valued in the job market," Kindig notes. "I am committed to supporting them through the complexities of a non-academic job search." Maddie's enthusiasm for the potential in graduate student and postdoc career development is palpable, and she looks forward to expanding services for these crucial university groups.

Since October 2022, Maddie has excelled as a career coach for the Technology, Data, Analytics, Finance, Consulting, Management, and Sales communities. "I cherish the role of career coaching, offering support and guidance to students from diverse backgrounds," she says. Maddie is excited to bring her skills to her new focus on graduate students and postdocs.

In her role, Maddie will continue to offer career coaching and resources to graduate students and postdocs, spearheading initiatives such as the Graduate Student Accelerator Fund and the Graduate Student Career Success Grants for Faculty and Staff. She is eager to foster and strengthen connections across the college to better support graduate students and postdocs.
