Mock Interviews
Improve your ability to make a positive impression, as well as your confidence level, by interviewing with a mock interviewer. To schedule a mock interview please call 292-7055. You will need to complete the Goals for Practice Interview Form and submit it to the office prior to your schedule interview. The form must be received at least 24-hours in advance of your mock interview.

Career Planning Seminar (ASC 400.01)
Explore how your interests, values, and skills relate to career fields. Learn how to research employers, network effectively, prepare effective resumes and cover letters, and interview with confidence. The course is graded S/U, provides one (1) hour of elective credit, and is offered AU, WI, and SP quarters.
ASC 489.02 (a zero-credit course for documenting participation in an internship)
You are encouraged to first check with an academic department to see if the particular internship you are considering meets the requirements for obtaining academic credit. If course credit is not available, you can enroll in ASC 489.02 to have the internship recorded on your transcript. If you are not taking other courses, enrollment in ASC 489.02 allows you to maintain your student status. (Some sites require you to be enrolled while serving as an intern for their company/organization.) Click here for enrollment form.

Job Search Strategies Workshop
This 90-minute session addresses commonly held job search myths and provides instruction on how to get started with your employment search. Would you choose “true” or “false” for the following statement, “Employers prefer resumes that are created with templates like those found on MS Word.”? If your answer is true, you’ll want to attend this session as the correct answer is false!
Resume-O-Rama
Held quarterly prior to campus career fairs, this event is geared toward those wanting to have their resume critiqued. You will also learn about strategies for presenting your resume to an employer, and making a general positive impression, during a career fair. Career Resource Library
Located in 48 Townshend Hall, the library features a collection of print materials including salary data, overviews of occupational fields and industries, internship directories, and instructional guides on resume writing, job search techniques, and interviewing. The materials are not available for loan, but you can use them while visiting the office. You’ll need a photo ID to use the library materials.
