Mock Interviews

Improve your interviewing confidence and ability to make a positive impression with an employer by scheduling a mock interview. To make your mock interview as realistic as possible, the Arts and Sciences Career Services Office requires you to provide the key information outlined below; this allows our mock interviewers to prepare questions unique to your interview situation.

Please Note: The Arts and Sciences Career Services Office specializes in mock interviews for students and recent bachelor's degree recipients who are searching for internships or full-time career related employment. If you would like to practice for professional school or graduate school interviews (e.g. medical school, dental school, optometry school), please contact Student Life Career Counseling and Support Services.

Request a mock interview

  1. Upload your most up-to-date resume to the Documents tab of your FutureLink account (if you haven't already done so)
  2. Complete thePDF icon Mock Interview Information Sheet [pdf] by first saving the blank document to your computer. Then complete the form and re-save.
  3. Choose one of the following scenarios for your mock interview:

    a) Have an interview scheduled? Submit the job description from the position for which you are interviewing
    b) Choose a position currently posted in FutureLink that closely relates to your career interests (indicate 8-digit Job ID number)
    c) Choose a sample job description provided by the Arts and Sciences Career Services Office
  4. Email your completed Mock Interview Information Sheet and choice of interview scenario to In your email please indicate which job description you wish the mock interviewer to focus upon. If you chose scenario A, attach the accompanying job description.

Please allow 2-3 business days after submission for the Arts and Sciences Career Services Office to contact you via phone to schedule your mock interview.  Your mock interview will be scheduled 2-3 business days from the time we contact you. Plan for your mock interview to be scheduled at least 5 business days after declaring your interest.

Your mock interview will NOT be scheduled until all four steps preparation steps above have been completed.
