After graduation, I hope to get into medical school and pursue my dream career of being a pediatrician. Eventually, I hope to open my own clinic to treat my own patients and put my degree along with my love for business into one project.

Being a student, especially in excruciating circumstances like COVID, causes big challenges for my peers and I. By being a Student Advisory Board member, I hope to educate them on the many opportunities Ohio State offers its students to succeed. I hope to bring attention to the voices of my peers and represent them and make sure they are heard because I believe everyone can succeed if they put their mind to it.

After receiving my bachelor’s degree in Economics, I intend to go to law school and pursue a career as a Civil Rights Attorney and hopefully help people that are in trouble and need help. .

The reason I joined the Student Advisory Board was to help anyone that needs help trying to plan out the next stages in life. I know a lot of people don’t have everything planned out right now and since Ohio State offers so many opportunities, I want to match the right person with the right opportunity so they can maximize the benefits that Ohio State offers.

My professional goal is to work with children in the field of pediatrics. Lord willing, I will graduate with my BA next fall. After that, I am looking forward to enrolling in the Physician Assistant Masters program at Ohio Dominican.

I wanted to serve as a member of Student Advisory Board because it seems that students like me get overlooked. I am not a traditional student. I have a family to support and a full-time job. We students who are older than 25 and don’t live the traditional campus life also need help with career direction and motivation. My hopes are that I can help as much as possible to serve all of my fellow Buckeyes.

My head shot was taken the first time I signed the national anthem at an Ohio State Buckeye football game, one of my proudest Buckeye moments.

I currently am on the premed track in hopes of one day going to medical school and becoming an Interventional Radiologist.

I want to serve my peers as a member of the Student Advisory Board because I think that this is a really helpful resource for all students, but is something that not all people know of. My goal is to introduce people to this organization and also serve minorities, like myself, in any way I can in order to be exposed to many different career opportunities and one day achieve career success.

Career Success provides students with the opportunity to get to know all the opportunities out there for them along with how and where to start with these opportunities. Since volunteering with the American Red Cross starting in 2019, I've gained the confidence and love of volunteering and was able to develop my management skills, in addition to learning how to deal with different personalities and backgrounds.

After undergrad, I hope to attend medical school and earn an MD. I would love to work as a physician. Ultimately, the goal is to work in healthcare.

I wanted to serve my peers as a member of the Student Advisory Board because I know what it is like to be confused while finding your career path, it is definitely a stressful time and I would want to help others in any way I can. As someone who is interested in so many things, I did not even know where to start, but now that I’ve been through it, I think I provide a good perspective.

I aspire to work in Human Resources, specifically training and development to better the efficiency and culture of the workplace.

The Center for Career Success has played a large role in my success here at Ohio State. The resources have benefited me immensely and I would love to play a role in allowing more students to receive the help I have. Ohio State offers so much to students, it is our privilege to utilize these opportunities and I want to help students access those opportunities.

After completing my undergraduate degree in the spring, I am planning on continuing my education by pursuing my JD to become an attorney and advocate.

I firmly believe that it is important for students to have a voice and to be represented in all aspects of the university to ensure that everyone is supported, uplifted, and receives the resources necessary for their individual success. I believe that students should be at the center of not only all decisions, but all goals as well, as they are the ones for whom this university is set out to serve. By serving on the Student Advisory Board I hope that I can bring together my past experiences while amplifying the voices of my peers to better both their academic experience and set them up for success upon graduation. Career Success offers incredible resources in achieving these goals, and I hope to further their mission by providing student insight and working with the rest of the advisory board.

After obtaining my undergraduate degrees, I hope to continue onto grad school and eventually obtain my PhD. In the future, I will continue researching and hopefully become a head researcher

The Center for Career and Professional Success has so many amazing resources that are consistently underused and I want to help change that narrative. I love being a part of a team that wholly focuses on the success and well being of a student and aids them to achieve their goals. I not only want to use and take advantage of these opportunities myself, but also want to help my peers recognize how valuable these tools are, especially since they are already a part of the OSU package! in charge of impactful projects.

I plan on attending medical school and becoming a physician.

I believe it is crucial for the student opinion to be heard when creating programs aimed at at helping students. It is very likely for other students with the same goals as me to have similar opinions.

I believe that everyone can accomplish their dreams and I want to ensure the success of my peers’ career goals by looking through a creative lens. I understand that not one path works for every individual student, I have experienced with this myself coming from many different backgrounds as an unconventional transfer student and a member of the disabled community. I have had to work differently from my peers to accomplish many things in my life. I plan to serve my peers with the utmost care and respect, working to help those in our community accomplish their dreams.

My plan is to graduate undergraduate school in three years (Spring of 2022). I will continue my academic career into graduate school to receive my license in counseling.

As a first generation student, I felt clueless and confused coming into college. I have attended many different sessions provided by the ASC Center for Career and Professional Success throughout the years to learn more about my future career and how to prepare for it. Reaching out for help and practice has to become more normalized because these kinds of  opportunities are so beneficial and they were created to help the students.
